Matz Maersk Makes First European Calls

Matz Maersk, the ninth 18,270 TEU containership built for the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group made its maiden voyage port call to Bremerhaven on 27 July and is currently at the Danish port of Aarhus.  Scheduled departure is 2100 tonight according to the port’s website.

Danish maritime media site Maritime Danmark notes that the Matz Maersk is replacing the 15,550 TEU Ebba Maersk on the AE-10 Asia-Europe trade.  The Ebba Maersk has moved to the AE-2 service.
