HONOLULU — Seven fishermen are safe, Wednesday, after their Japanese-flagged 50-foot fishing boat, the Gyotoku Maru No. 1, reportedly capsized 218 miles southwest of Palau. AMVER-Participating Bulker Carrier Helps Rescue Three Overdue Boaters in Central Pacific

A Panama-flagged bulk carrier assisted in the rescue of three overdue boaters Thursday near the Chuuk Atoll in the central Pacific. 500-Foot Log Carrier Abandoned in the Pacific

The U.S. Coast Guard reports today that twenty-four sailors from the M/V Rich Forest are now safe after being rescued by the bulk carrier CS Sunshine, 440 nautical miles west of Guam.
