Global Crude in Transit Reaches Record 1.24 Billion Barrels as Supply Surges
A flotilla of crude oil on the world’s oceans expanded to a fresh high as producer nations keep adding barrels and the tankers sail further for deliveries.
Some amateur video has captured the moment a large freighter ran aground in the Delaware River near the Burlington Bristol Bridge on Wednesday.
The Liberian-flagged 600-foot bulk carrier, Agia Irini, was headed southbound when it reportedly lost propulsion and ran aground at approximately 2 p.m., the Coast Guard said in a statement.
No injuries or pollution was reported following the incident.
The ship was refloated and en route to safe anchorage for further Coast Guard investigation, the Coast Guard said.
