The final three of six new ZPMC super-post Panamax cranes arrived at the Port of Seattle in late July aboard the heavy lift semi-submersible, Zhen Hua 23, owned by Shanghai Zhenhua Shipping.
These six super post-Panamax cranes are the tallest on the US West Coast, making Seattle one of the few ports in North America than can handle the world’s largest containerships.
The Port of Seattle now has a total of 13 super post-Panamax cranes the first three of which arrived at the end of November 2011. The cranes belong to SSA Marine, terminal operator at T-18.
