Trump’s First Trade Pact Offers Faint Glimpse on Art of the Deal
For global leaders puzzling over how to negotiate with Donald Trump, the US president’s inaugural pact with the UK offers a few clues on how much ground he’s prepared to give.

Malaysia-headquartered shipbuilder Nam Cheong announced today the securing of four newbuild orders from four different clients in southeast Asia. The contracts collectively add approximately US$90 million and four vessels to the company’s backlog of 25 vessels.
Nam Cheong notes that all four vessels are ABS-classed and are under construction at subcontracted yards in China with deliveries planned for 2014.
The orders consist of a platform supply vessel for Bumi Armand Bhd, a 200-man Accommodation Work Vessel for Marco Polo Marine Ltd, a 5,000 bhp AHTS for Time Marine Services Sdn Bhd and another AHTS for a new undisclosed Vietnamese customer.

Nam Cheong notes that Bumi Armada placed a four-vessel PSV newbuild order in 2013 which represents one of the company’s largest collective newbuild contracts.
