Lithuanian Energy Minister Rokas Masiulis is in the United States this week and is expected to seek political support from the U.S. for natural gas supplies to his country’s new floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Klaipeda which began to operate at the end of 2014.
In the meantime, a cargo of LNG is currently on its way to Lithuania from Statoil’s Snøhvit LNG export terminal in Norway aboard the Golar Seal, according to a report by Reuters.
