In a move to reduce debt, and to the overall benefit of the struggling dry bulk industry, Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp (NASDAQ: SHIP) announced today that the BET Fighter, a 173,149 dwt Capesize drybulk vessel, has been sold and will be subsequently scrapped.
The BET Fighter was built in 1992 at a gross price of US$9,107,455 and was delivered to its new owners yesterday.

Following the completion of sale of the BET Fighter, the Seanergy’s fleet consists of ten Handysize, two Supramax, three Panamax and two Capesize dry bulk carriers with an average age of 13.6 years.
