The U.S. Department of Defense reports today the crew of a U.S. Coast Guard rigid hulled inflatable boat (RHIB) fired at an Iranian dhow yesterday while operating in international waters within the Persian Gulf. The arrival of a disabled products tanker under tow by a commercial tug to San Francisco Bay is being hampered severe weather, the U.S. Coast said late Sunday. The MT Pine Galaxy and the towing vessel are expected to arrive in San Francisco later this week, the Coast Guard said, about two weeks after an engine room fire cut propulsion and killed one crewmember. The U.S. Coast Guard over the weekend rescued an 800-pound leatherback turtle after it became entangled in fishing gear off the coast of New Jersey, and it was all caught on camera. U.S. Coast Guard Exercises $225 Million Option at Bollinger
