The wind farm installation vessel Innovation, owned by the HOCHTIEF subsidiary HGO InfraSea Solutions is currently installing rotor stars offshore Germany at the Global Tech I offshore wind farm. Innovation is the world’s most powerful heavy-lift jack-up vessel and capable of transporting four rotor stars at a time to the wind farm and installing them on site using it’s 1,500 ton crane. The vessel can operate in water depths of up to 50 meters and is DP2 equipped.

Pre-assembly and transhipment of the AREVA rotor stars was performed at JadeWeserPort in Wilhelmshaven.
According to Global Tech I, construction of the wind farm will be fully complete and ready for operation this summer.
