This is a fascinating interview with an interesting backstory of how it came to be. A few months ago Youtuber Noah Kagan was out on the streets of New York asking “rich people” what they do for a living and any advice they have for young people.
As it so happens, he ran into Michael Hudner, founder and CEO of B+H Shipping which has owned and operated over 140 ships over the course of its 45-year history. Being that “shipowner” was not the typical answer from these sorts of street interviews, Hudner piqued the interest of not only Kagan, but also viewers, with the video racking up over 19 million views on Youtube.
Long story short, Kagan flew out to Rhode Island to sit down with Hudner for an interview that covered everything from his beginnings in real estate, to buying and selling ships, and even the death of his 19-year-old son.
