As a former naval officer and friend to a number of professionals in the Naval Special Warfare community, I’m deeply saddened to hear the news of our American patriots and warriors who were killed in action in Afghanistan on Friday.
22 Navy SEALs, 5 Army air crew members, 3 Air Force combat controllers, and one Navy SEAL dog were killed after their helicopter was downed in Afghanistan.
I wish I could put together the words to properly convey my appreciation for your selfless sacrifice.
