Today’s ship photo of the day comes from BG Group’s Aberdeen office and shows a view from the stern of the REM Gambler which was operating at the Petrojarl Knarr FPSO over the holidays, a field east of the Shetland Islands in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
The Skandi Skolten, Havila Jupiter, Normand Neptun and Normand Atlantic are pictured in the photo. The large red/orange vessel is the Petrojarl Knarr FPSO.
BG Group says their FPSO was installed and riser work completed at the end of December. Commissioning of the topsides is currently in progress.
The vessel is turret-moored in 410 meters of water and was delivered to Teekay in 2014 from Samsung Heavy Industries. It is on a 10-year charter to BG Group.
