Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea is building the world’s largest vessel, Shell’s Prelude FLNG facility, a 488 meter, 600,000 dwt vessel that will eventually be moored offshore Australia to produce, liquefy, store, and offload natural gas. It’s a completely new type of vessel, one that is gaining more and more interest from energy producers worldwide.

Samsung has just finished the constructing the hull sections and the following video shows the yard maneuvering the huge sections together to form what will be, the world’s largest vessel.
