In a move to reduce the company’s debt, Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp (NASDAQ: SHIP) announced today they have sold one of their 69,235 dwt Panamax bulk carriers, the BET Intruder, at a gross price of USD $4.8 million. The vessel was delivered to its new owners on October 29, 2012.
Following the completion of sale of the BET Intruder, the Company’s fleet consists of two Capesize, two Panamax, two Supramax and nine Handysize dry bulk carriers with an average age of 14.1 years.
Since June, Seanergy has further reduced their fleet by selling off two of their Capesize bulkers for demolition and the Handysize bulker, the Clipper Grace, to a new owner.
