Saga Cruises spokesperson Paul Green note in a phone call that their cruise ship Saga Sapphire is currently at anchor off western Scotland after an electrical switchboard caught fire today.
He notes the crew dealt with the issue “swiftly and professionally” and the fire has been put out with no injuries. The ship’s power has been shut off while repairs to the panel are conducted.
Meanwhile, free wine is being served to the 589 passengers on board.
