Delivered in June, Höegh Target is the world’s largest Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) vessel with a carrying capacity of 8,500 car equivalent units.
Here is the vessel making its maiden call in Rotterdam on August 21. The photos show the Höegh Target as it passes the Caland Bridge and in the Brittaniëhaven under tow by KOTUG International’s hybrid Rotortugs RT Evolution and RT Adriaan.
Höegh Target also features up to 6.5 meters of free deck height, 12 meters of ramp width and capacity to take cargo weighing up to 375 tonnes. The vessel is the first of six similar vessels to be delivered to Höegh Autoliners over the next 18 months and sails in the East Asia to Europe trade.
