Discovery Channel has just released this new time lapse video of the Costa Concordia parbuckling, giving viewers another look at the 19 hour operation to upright the ship in under one minute.

WATCH: Costa Concordia Time Lapse Video #1

The time lapse is part of a Discovery Channel one-hour special, called “Inside Raising the Concordia,” which will offer viewers an inside look at the most crucial stage of the largest and most costly maritime salvage job in history. The special will feature exclusive interviews with the TITAN Salvage-Micoperi engineers tasked with raising the once luxurious ship.

In addition to exclusive interviews, the Discovery Channel special will show how TITAN-Micoperi engineers prepped for the job, which included the building of an offshore village of barges complete with a hospital, gym and living quarters for the hundreds of divers and salvage specialists. The show will also give an inside look at the step-by-step process involved with pulling the ship upright and how they plan to re-float her before finally being towed away to be scrapped.

Inside Raising the Concordia” is set to premier this Friday, September 20, at 10:00 p.m. EST on the Discovery Channel. Check your local listings for the exact time and channel.
