PLEASE BE ADVISED – The Somali-pirated M/T Liquid Velvet, which as of this week was underway conducting mothership operations, is assessed to have returned to the Somali coast and is currently at anchor no longer underway conducting mothership operations.
However, mariners are advised to maintain counter-piracy measures and adhere to best management practices, as other pirate attack groups are assessed to be underway – including:
1. ARABIAN SEA – APPROXIMATELY 150NM SE OF SALALAH, OMAN
2. INDIAN OCEAN – APPROXIMATELY 50NM SE OF MOGADISHU, SOMALIA
