No one was killed and both ships remained afloat after the accident, which occurred late on Saturday (June 27) in a shipping channel about 10 miles off the Turkish island of Bozcaada, the Anatolian news agency said.
The “Marti Princess,” a bulk-freight cargo vessel, took on water after colliding with the German-flagged “Renata Schulte” container ship, which was travelling from Casablanca to the Turkish port of Tuzla, the state-run agency said.
