Trump’s Tariffs Have Canada Eyeing Asia Trade Ties
President Donald Trump’s latest tariff salvo against Canada landed just as Mark Carney was setting out on a mission to insulate his country from the fallout of the trade war.
It’s been trending all day on Twitter. Apparently President Tump’s former adviser Roger Stone made the wild claim in an interview on The Alex Jones Show. Newsweek has the quote:
“I just learned of absolute incontrovertible evidence of North Korean boats delivering ballots through a harbor in Maine, the state of Maine,” Stone said. “If this checks out, if law enforcement looked into that and it turned out to be true, it would be proof of foreign involvement in the election.”
I’ll just say the word if is doing a lot of work in that quote.
Now, I don’t know what North Korea actually is or is not doing with U.S. Presidential Election ballots, but I do know the U.S. has accused China of some 550 illegal shipments of coal and other stuff from North Korea in violation of U.S. sanctions. You can read about that here.
