AMC Connector Completes Riser Replacement at Statoil’s SNORRE B

SINGAPORE – EMAS AMC has successfully completed the first of several riser replacements for Statoil on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The scope of the riser replacement on Snorre B and the other floating platforms comprised by the contract includes riser recovery and installation work. In offshore operations, EMAS AMC has utilized the state-of-the-art construction vessel AMC Connector.

Engineering and planning commenced in January 2012, while the offshore operations on Snorre B took place in March 2012.

The AMC Connector is one of the largest and most advanced subsea installation and construction vessels available in the world capable of operating in waters 3,000 meters. The Connector is DP3 equipped and has two heave-compensated offshore cranes and a VLS system with pay-load capacity of 9,000 tonnes
