Apparently this guy was a local legend down in Brazil.
He was known around the port of Aracaju as Zé Peixe, or Joe Fish, aka the swimming pilot. He spent his career guiding ships into and out of port, and as often as he could he would sneak away to jump from the ship’s bridge, then swim back to shore. The video uploader says the guy never showered or drank fresh water, swam over 6 miles per day, and jumped from heights of 40 meters. He even has his own wikipedia page, which identifies him as José Martins Ribeiro Nunes (1927 – 2012). RIP Joe Fish.
