American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier Group (ARC) has announced the addition of M/V ARC Endeavor to its U.S.-flag fleet.
The vessel was reflagged to American registry on September 27th in the Port of Baltimore, Maryland, becoming the tenth U.S.-flag roll-on roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessel in ARC’s fleet.
“ARC has consistently invested in new tonnage and this latest Ro-Ro is the ninth ship we have brought into the American fleet since 2016,” said Eric Ebeling, ARC President & CEO. “ARC Endeavor further strengthens ARC’s position as a leading logistics company and the largest U.S. flag Ro-Ro carrier.”
Ebeling also highlighted the positive impact on employment, noting that this investment will allow the company to expand its workforce, including captains, mates, engineers, and mariners.
The M/V ARC Endeavor, classified as a Large Car Truck Carrier (LCTC), measures 754 feet (229.99 meters) in length. The vessel features a 21-foot (6.50 meters) high stern opening and a stern ramp capable of handling cargo up to 320 tons. Its car-equivalent unit capacity exceeds 7,500 vehicles, underlining its significant transport capabilities.
Willie Barrere, AMO National President, congratulated ARC on the fleet addition, stating, “AMO appreciates our outstanding working relationship with ARC and its service to our nation’s armed forces, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and growing together in the future.”
The addition of M/V ARC Endeavor not only enhances ARC’s commercial fleet but also strengthens its support for national defense. The vessel’s versatility allows it to transport a wide range of cargo, including tracked and wheeled vehicles, helicopters, and other high and heavy project cargoes. As the largest U.S.-flag Ro-Ro operator, ARC continues to play a crucial role in supporting America’s national defense through its participation in the Maritime Security Program and Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement.
