Decatur Marine Offering One Week Subchapter M Class

Press Release – Decatur Marine – Towing vessels and tugboats need to comply with Subchapter M regulations by July 20, 2018.

Decatur Marine, a USCG Third Party Organization (TPO), is bringing a Subchapter M Lead Surveyor and Lead Auditor Certification course to Conley Marine’s headquarters in NOLA at 1305 Distributor Row, Suite G, New Orleans, La, June 25-29, 2018.

Inland marine safety and compliance veteran Captain Kevin Mullen and former USCG inspector Kevin Smith will be your instructors for a two-part, five day class session that will satisfy CFR 139.130(b)(4).

Topics for this week-long class will include surveying & auditing towing vessels, TSMS management audits, RCP audits, exercises to navigate 46 CFR Subchapter M, how to use

TugSafe, the Towing Vessel Record, and the ISM code. Special guests will also be joining the classes for some on-site discussions. Lunch will be provided daily.

This two-part certification course costs just $750 for the entire week, per person.
For current clients of Decatur Marine or Conley Marine, the cost is $475 per person, for the course.
