We use flickr to bring you the Photo Of The Day on our homepage and more than a dozen times a single photographer’s work has been featured; OneEighteen.
Why do we enjoy his work so much? Aside from the fact he takes amazing photographs, OneEighteen is a Houston Ship Channel Pilot who has an eye for interesting ships and situations. He also notates each photo with ship names, details and “insider info” from a pilot’s perspective.
Our favorite of his photos can be found HERE but we also enjoy the less spectacular like the photo titled “It didn’t happen on my watch!”.
Ok so where do you find these amazing ship photos? Here are some options:
Maritime Slideshow – His Flickr Profile – Maritime Portfolio
Here are some of our other favorites:
“Heather Knutsen”
Shoulda Gone To Air Conditioning School
Skyscape, Lynchburg Ferry Crossing
Give Me That Far Horizon
Inbound, Bolivar Roads
Pilot Boat “Bayou City”
