Bourbon Sells off Trio of Old Ships

Bourbon, the Paris-based OSV operator announced today the sale of three of their vessels today in a strategic move to maintain a fleet of modern offshore vessels.

The 3 ships, which include a tug, an MPSV (Multi-Purpose Supply Vessel) from the Subsea Services fleet and a PSV (Platform Supply Vessel), were 10, 14 and 21 years old, respectively, and were sold for total consideration of approximately USD $38 million generating a total capital gain of approximately US$ 18 million according to an emailed statement by Bourbon today.
