Forty ships and submarines from 13 nations operate in close formation during Rim of the Pacific 2016.

This year’s RIMPAC, the world’s largest international maritime exercise, involves twenty-six partner nations, with more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel training in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California from June 30 to August 4. RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971.
