Viking Supply Ships announced today 4 new charter contracts for their anchor handlers, “Loke Viking”, “Magne Viking”, “Brage Viking” and “Balder Viking” with a “major oil company” according to an exchange statement.
The contract, valued at approximately USD $120 million, will cover the 2014 and 2015 drilling seasons with options for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. The drilling season is expected to commence around April or May each year according to Viking.
With the recent contract, Viking’s AHTS fleet has an estimated contract coverage including charterer options of 62% for 2014 and 57% for 2015.
