Eidesvik’s LNG-powered PSV Viking Queen won a 900-day contract today from Lundin Norway AS, a Norwegian offshore E&P company.
The contract for the Viking Queen will start at sometime mid-to-late 2014 and is for 15 wells with options for 5 more wells, and a minimum of 900 days. Eidesvik notes the vessel will be upgraded with FI_FI II and NOFO 2009.
“We are very pleased that we once again have been chosen by Lundin Norway AS, a company which is in an exiting development phase. For Eidesvik as a pioneer with the use of LNG as fuel for its PSVs, we appreciate a lot that Lundin once again charter in a LNG-fueled PSV to its portfolio,” commented Eidesvik CEO & President Jan Fredrik Meling.
