Check out this video of the future littoral combat ship USS Detroit (LCS 7) completing its acceptance trials earlier this month. The Detroit will be the fourth Freedom-class variant of the LCS when delivered to the U.S. Navy in October. During trials, the ship successfully performed launch and recovery operations of the 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat, conducted surface and air self-defense detect-to-engage exercises, and demonstrated the ship’s maneuverability and speed, reaching more than 40 knots.

The ship is built by Lockheed Martin at the Marinette Marine shipyard in Wisconsin.
