New Orleans-based tugboat operator, TradeWinds Towing, announced today the addition of a third vessel to their fleet of tugs.
Currently owned by Foss Maritime, the 120-foot, 65,000 pound bollard pull ocean-going tug, Leslie Foss, will be bareboated for a period of six months before and then purchased at the end of the charter.
Leslie Foss is powered by a 3000 HP, EMD 12-645 E2 engine that drives a twin screw, open wheel propulsion system. The vessel holds 96,000 gallons fuel and has a Double Drum Markey Towing winch.
