Topaz Signs with Viking Life Saving

VIKING Life-Saving Equipment and OSV operator Topaz Energy and Marine announced this week the signing of a multi-million dollar, 10-year combined fixed price and exchange service agreement for liferafts whereby VIKING will upgrade all of Topaz’s current liferafts and manage the ongoing servicing and certification of Topaz’s liferaft fleet.

“This agreement significantly enhances our ability to operate safely, which is a top priority for Topaz and for our clients” commented Topaz CEO, René Kofod-Olsen.

With the new agreement they have managed two things at once: lifting overall safety to a new level; and introducing predictable cost-efficiencies.”

This agreement follows a similar agreement signed between Statoil and VIKING this spring.
