Here’s a new video from DP World’s London Gateway port showing the newly opened second berth.
Located 25 miles east of London, the $2.4 billion port facility will eventually grow to a total of sixth deepwater berths intended to handle 3.5 million TEUs per year and accommodate the world’s largest containerships.
The opening of the second berth this month rings in the start of the new G6 alliance, one of the world’s largest shipping alliances, which is expected to begin Friday, as well as a handful of other new services.
