The U.S. Coast Guard and local agencies are responding to reports of an oil spill after a cargo ship struck a pier near mile marker 100 on the lower Mississippi River near New Orleans on Thursday. Passenger Vessel Carrying 447 Smashes Pier in Baltimore

A passenger vessel carrying nearly 450 people struck a pier in Baltimore on Sunday, causing damage but no serious injuries among passengers or crew. Some new photos obtained by gCaptain show damage to the Star of Abu Dhabi bulk carrier after it reportedly drifted into the dock of a Louisiana sugar refinery, causing millions of dollars worth of damage. Video shows the moment the Singapore-flagged cargo ship Xetha Bhum plowed into a pedestrian walkway lining the Chao Phraya River near the Bhumibol Bridge in Bangkok, Thailand.
