India Seeks $1.1 Billion Reparation After MSC Fuel Spill in May
The southern Indian state of Kerala has sued MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. for the environmental damages caused by a ship capsizing off its coast, according to a court document.
Durban-based salvage company Subtech released the following photos of the salvage operation they are currently conducting off Richards Bay, South Africa involving the bulk carrier, MV Smart.
The salvors are currently removing the heavy fuel oil from the ship’s tanks, a process which may likely be completed within a week according to reports.
