Ben Moll sends us the following image he took while conducting cargo operations between BHP Billiton’s tensioned-leg platform (TLP) Shenzi and the C-Performer supply boat located in Green Canyon in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 120 miles south of Louisiana.
The Shenzi TLP has a nominal capacity to produce 100,000 barrels of oil and 50 million cubic feet of gas per day while stationed in water 4,300 feet deep. The Shenzi field comprises Green Canyon Blocks 609, 610, 653, and 654.
