The photo offers a look at the unique hull shape used in the design of the Triple-E class. Unlike the V-shaped hull used in Maersk’s E-class, the Triple-E’s feature a more U-like hull, allowing room for an additional row of containers (23 across compared to 22).
While the new Triple-E class is only a few meters longer and wider than the E-Class, it offers 16 percent more container space due to its wider, more bulbous bow.
