Singapore-based LPG shipper, Epic Pantheon International Gas Shipping Ltd. has contracted Sasaki Shipyard to build two 5,000cbm fully-pressurised LPG carriers.
The vessels are scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2014.
Lars Vang Christensen, CEO of Epic, said: “We are pleased to have contracted with Sasaki Shipyard, who also built two of our existing ships of the same size. The expansion of our fleet with modern and fuel-efficient high quality newbuildings substantiates our long standing commitment to meet growing requirements and needs of our customers.”
Epic owns a fleet of 16 pressurized LPG tankers ranging in size from 3,300 cbm to 7,200 cbm. In addition, they bareboat charter 6 additional LPG tankers.
