Vessel managers Leonhardt & Blumberg report that on 11 November at approximately 2345 hours local time its container vessel Hansa Siegburg collided with a barge while leaving the port of Xiamen.
As a result of the collision, one of the crew aboard the barge suffered fatal injuries and five others were rescued.
The Hansa Siegburg is currently at anchor while an investigation into the incident continues. Both vessels were damaged in the collision and there were no injuries sustained by crew aboard the Hansa Siegburg.
