The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is an all-volunteer, charity-funded organization aimed at ending the preventable loss of life at sea in an around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Saving Rescuing an average of 22 people PER DAY, as they did in 2012 according to their website, requires a significant amount of training and expertise. Such expertise, as the following video shows, is gained by plowing headlong into breaking seas in a small boat.
