Resolve Marine Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with U.K.-based “walk-to-work” specialist Bibby Mariner Services to jointly develop Jones Act-compliant vessels for the emerging offshore wind sector in the United States.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based, family owned Resolve has nearly four decades of experience as a Jones Act operator. The company says the partnership will initially focus on developing a “Walk-to-Work” vessel solutions for wind farm operators and wind turbine suppliers in the U.S., however, its scope will expand to include CTV vessel requirements, safety training, emergency response, and firefighting standby services, as well as logistical support.
Bibby Marine Services Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bibby Line Group Limited. The company took delivery of its first vessel, Bibby WaveMaster 1, in September 2017, and expects its second vessel, Bibby WaveMaster Horizon, later this year.
