Hijack Call From Ship Off Iran a False Alarm, Security Firm Ambrey Says
A hijack signal sent from a Panama-flagged petroleum products tanker off Iran was a false alarm, British maritime security firm Ambrey said on Wednesday.
On 14 February, Polish shipyard Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. launched their next ABS-classed platform supply vessel, on that has been designed for one of the largest supply vessel operators in the North Sea.
This DP-2 equipped ship has a deck area in excess of 800 square meters, 4100 ton cargo capacity and an operating speed of 14.3 knots via a 6800 kW diesel-electric propulsion plant.
Upon final outfitting, the vessel is expected to obtain the “GREEN PASSPORT” indicating that potentially harmful materials to human health or the environment were not used in her construction.
Conceptual design and all technical documentation is provided by Polish design office MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd., Gdynia.
In 2012, revenues at Remontowa Shipbuilding exceeded USD $150 million. 2013 revenues are expected exceed $255 million.
