The Portuguese navy unveiled a new state-of-the-art surveillance drone this week in front of assembled media and Portugal’s defence minister, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, among other distinguished guests at a Lisbon naval base.
Unfortunately the launch did not go as planned.
After the drone crashed into the water only seconds after takeoff, the Minister was reported to have said that “This explains why it is always necessary to invest a lot in training at the right time so that tasks do not fail.”
A second launch apparently DID go as planned, but that video is not nearly as fun to watch.
