Tuesday, pirates in the Gulf of Aden released the cargo ship M/V Thor Nexus for a reported ransom of US $5 million. The Thai flagged and owned vessel was on her way to Bangladesh from Jebel Ali in the UAE when she was attacked in the Northern Indian Ocean on Christmas day.
The vessel had a Thai crew of 27 and are said to be safe and in good health.
