EU NAVFOR has reported that the general cargo ship M/V Asphalt Venture has been released from pirate control. The vessel was released on April 15, 2011 after being held captive for 199 days.
The Panama flagged vessel was pirated on September 28, 2010, approximately 100 nautical miles South-East of Dar Es Salaam in the Somali Basin.
