The design of the soon-to-be world’s largest sail-assisted motor yacht was revealed for the first time recently as the vessel set out for a series of sea trials in Germany, where the ship has been under construction at a shipyard in Kiel.

The new vessel, named Sailing Yacht A, is being built for Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko, who has a history of owning outlandish yet provocative and completely cutting edge yachts, such as the famous 2008-built Motor Yacht A.
