Doubtful anyone from SHI, or Korea for that matter, will understand the title of this article, but that’s ok.  Here’s the latest offshore wind news…

SEOUL (Dow Jones)–Samsung Heavy Industries Co. (010140.SE) said Wednesday it signed a memorandum of understanding to build a wind-power generator plant in Scotland, giving the South Korean shipbuilder an entry into Europe’s offshore wind-power generator market.

Samsung will build a electricity transmission network in Fife, a coastal area of Scotland, in a pilot project to sell electricity produced from an offshore seven-megawatt wind-power generator starting from 2014, the company said in a statement.
