Some new video from the Nikiski Fire Department shows Thursday’s fire aboard the Baker platform located in Cook Inlet, Alaska.

As gCaptain reported yesterday, all four personnel were evacuated without injury from the natural gas platform after the fire broke early Thursday morning. The source of the fire was quickly secured but firefighting efforts continued throughout the day as the platform continued to smolder.

The fire is believed to have originated in the platform’s accommodation area.

The video, which was filmed about an hour after the fire erupted, gives a good look at the extent of the fire and its relative location onboard the platform.

There have been no reported oil spills as a result of the incident.
