NHK/NEP/Discovery Channel
Last night, the Discovery Channel aired its highly-anticipated special on the expedition that, for the first time ever, captured footage of the famed – and feared – Giant Squid in its natural habitat.
The squid was first discovered in July 2012 by a team of scientists near the Ogasawara islands in Japan during an expedition funded by the Discovery Channel and NHK.
