Økokrim, Norway’s National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime has raided the offices of Kongsberg Group today in an effort to confirm or refute the suspicion of corruption related to deliveries of communication equipment to Romania from 1999 to 2008.
The charges carry a possible sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
In a statement on their website, Kongsberg notes they “will cooperate closely with and other relevant authorities to clarify all the facts in relation to the charges.”
